Quality Assistant

The Role: An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing quality duties within the manufacturing process, including undertaking daily sampling and testing, and will report to the Quality Supervisor. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring the highest quality standards are met and will aid the efficacy of the overall process to promote customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Quality presence to assist with QC testing, audit compliance, site hygiene inspections, maintaining the QMS and traceability

• Assist with a range of quality control practices and procedures including conducting product testing such as NIR
• Implement appropriate trend analysis and other statistical and factual reporting to support quality
• Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• Co-ordinate regular training with operators to implement new and updated procedures
• Assist in ensuring the HACCP is kept up-to-date and reviews are conducted when required

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 2 years' quality experience in a similar quality role

• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, HACCP, interpreting results, adherence to assurance schemes and legislations.

Skills and abilities:

• Strong communication skills
• Have strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
• Have a strong work ethic with the ability to show initiative, work on their own and as part of a team
• Computer literate and good IT skills
• Good attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset
• Flexible and adaptable
• Full Clean Driving license
